Different Openers Available from Guardian

Guardian offers two different types of openers:

• CORE series: These chain drive openers operate with a chain that rotates down the rail to move the trolley which opens and closes your garage door. The chain is strong and durable and will last you for many years. The one downside is that chain drive openers can be somewhat noisy.
• PRO series: This is Guardian’s line of belt drive openers. Instead of a chain, you have a belt rotating on the rail. This provides for nearly silent operation but the belts can be more prone to wearing out.

What Should I Do If My Garage Door Opener Breaks?

If your garage door opener breaks, give us a call. We can try to help you over the phone and send someone out to give you a free estimate. Guardian offers 5-year warranties on their openers with a 1-year warranty on mechanical parts and batteries. We will see if your opener is still under warranty or if the part is covered by warranty. Sometimes, it is more cost effective to buy a new opener instead of paying for the parts to repair your broken one. We will let you know all of the costs of repair and let you make the choice of what you want to be done.
